LOCATION: Soho, New York CIty
DESIGN: Accordian Styled Doors
The accordion styled doors are used to divide a large bedroom into a smaller bedroom and an office. The doors are fabricated from blackened steel and opaque safety glass. A blackened stainless steel fireplace and bathroom components were fabricated to match.
In these kinds of project with varying types of steel (blackened stainless steel and blackened steel), the challenge is to apply the patina properly to the different kinds of steel to ensure consistency in the finishes.
