CLIENT:  Kennedy
LOCATION:  Connecticut
DESIGN:  Continuous bent stair with flat steel bar and rod handrail in blackened steel patina and wax finish.

A mix of stainless steel and blackened steel components gives this residential staircase a modern, industrial look. The continuous, bent stair in blackened steel is accompanied with a double tube stringer. The stainless steel handrail juxtaposes the black stair finish and is composed of a flat bar grab-rail and newels with rod balusters.

This Connecticut summer home project is a straight forward design: a double stringer staircase with floating, steel plate steps. One of the objectives of this project was to lay out the handrail in a very clean, architectural manner with a distinct design. The staircase is finished in a black patina with a rich, satin wax finish.
