Serett fabricated this custom black steel Helix staircase for a refined hospitality setting, creating a bold architectural feature that connects the lower entrance level to the upper floor with movement, strength, and visual drama.
The stair rises in a smooth, continuous curve, wrapping around a central steel form that feels almost carved from shadow. Its matte black finish gives the piece a quiet authority, while the broad curved guardrail and slim horizontal rails create a sense of rhythm as the stair moves upward. From the street-facing side, the structure reads as sculptural and urban. From inside the space, it becomes part of the atmosphere, framed by warm lighting, glass doors, planting, brass-toned details, and richly colored interior walls.
This is the kind of stair that does more than solve circulation. It gives the entrance a signature. The curved steel body feels tailored to the architecture, with a strong lower enclosure, open rail sections, and a dramatic upper landing that folds cleanly into the ceiling plane. The result is substantial without feeling heavy, polished without feeling delicate, and memorable without needing ornament.
